Ms. Cathy Huang gave a speech in Tongji University as a member representative of GREENCHAIN on November 8th. Mr. Zhuang Shaoqin, vice mayor of Yangpu District, Mr. Ge Zhicai, head of Shanghai Creative Industry Center, Prof. Wu Zhiqiang, dean of College of Architecture & Urban Planning of Tongji University and Mr. Jan Staël von Holstein, president of the Network with A Silver Lining and many other guests participated the ceremony.

The Associated Exhibition of Members of GREENCHAIN Consulting Enterprises Alliance:

The Associated Exhibition is based on the products and the corporate culture of the membership enterprises, especially their particular understanding of design itself, design strategy and design trend. The aim of this exhibition is to spread the idea of GREENCHAIN Alliance as well as the outstanding achievement of the memberships and to attract more competitive enterprises in design circles to join this alliance. Thus, GREENCHAIN Alliance will soon grow bigger and in a healthier way.

GREENCHAIN Forum:

The principal or the director of design of each member enterprise will be invited to give a lecture in CAUP. The topic is up to the lecturer himself which had better consisted of corporate culture, specialties and developing strategies of the enterprise. The aim of the serial lectures is to give the students a deeper comprehension of the relationship between design education and design circles, moreover, they can be informed of the up to the minute development of design. The lectures may be emphasized on the hottest topics in design, such as sustainable design, design management, branding and strategic design, etc. Each membership enterprise is planned to give one lecture.

Coordinate design project between GREENCHAIN members and Art & Design of Tongji University:

According to the specific needs of projects or research from membership enterprises, and educational schedule of the four directions of Art & Design (industrial/ environmental/ digital media/ visual communications design), develop coordinate design projects mainly aimed at junior and senior students and conducted by teaching team led by professors and design directors from enterprises. Projects will purposefully based on some hot issues like sustainable design. The main purpose is to offer consulting services to enterprises based on the academic advantages of college through this kind of design projects and also let the students gain more practical design experiences so that they can be well-prepared for their career. The main forms of coordinate design projects are as follows:

Design courses (students in grade 2-3-4, 6-8weeks, two half-day/weeks, two teachers participate)
Workshop (graduate students, 1-2 weeks intensive design, one professor participate in)
Coordinate graduate design (Second semester of grade 4,whole day in 16 weeks,4-6 students,2 teachers participate)
Coordinate research project (depend on specific project, usually both teachers and students from our department and from international exchange colleges participate)
