Director, Innovation Strategy - Shanghai

Education

As a director of innovation strategy, you are the bridge among our clients, our partners and our own team. You should be passionate about delivering value to our clients to support their innovation initiatives.
You will work with clients to define their needs and the best approach to achieve their objectives. By working with internal and external stakeholders, you help to uncover new opportunities, generate actionable solutions and inspire new thinking to solve challenging problems. You will also facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members. You must be good at developing innovation approaches that deliver value to our clients.

Requirements :

  1. Bachelor’s degree in design-related fields
  2. 6+ years working experience (including 3+ years of experience with an innovation design company).
  3. Articulate and insightful when examining and understanding design strategy.
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and inspire people
  5. Strong creative writing and proposal development skills
  6. Strong presentation skills
  7. English is a must, bilingual in English and Mandarin appreciated.

Responsabilities :

  1. Be able to fully understand clients’ needs, customize competitive proposals for clients and turn them into feasible projects
  2. Negotiate with clients on contracts
  3. Lead and oversee projects about understanding customer needs, identifying opportunities, and then coming up with innovation strategies with our design team.
  4. Provide guidance for innovation strategy to project members in line with client requirements
  5. Supervise project implementation to ensure the expected outcomes will be delivered with good quality and on time
  6. Facilitate communication between our project team and clients during the whole process
  7. Coach our apprentices as a career manager

Intern- Product Design

Education

Responsabilities :

1). Participate in design research projects, and accomplish some supportive tasks
2). Assist project team to prepare documents such as proposal, questionnaires, interview outline etc.
3). Collect and arrange project supportive information
4). Assist team to make report and PPT
5). Do desktop research to know new trends of design, and to collect relevant information

Intern-Graphic Design

Education

1). Conduct pre-design research to better understand the target audience and their requirements
2). According to internal and external needs, help define the concept direction through ideation
3). Responsible for visual outputs via different interfaces including but not limited to: printing material, website, videos etc.

Research Manager

Education

Bachelor degree or above in majors as below. Overseas experience preferred. Design related. Industrial design, UI design, Visual communication design, Human centered design, service design, etc. Research related. Psychology, sociology, business/marketing, management, etc.

Requirements :

1. Work experience
Minimum 2 years experience, ideally 3 years above;
Experience in well-known innovation, design, research, or consulting firms preferred;
2. Capabilities and skills
Be familiar with research and analytic tools;
Good skills in communication, logic and systematic thinking;
Good project management skills;
Fluent both in Mandarin and English.
3. Others
Passionate in innovation, user research, design strategy;
Result-oriented, good professionalism;
Warm, open-minded, proactive.

Responsabilities :

1. Research and consulting
Work closely with team to conduct qualitative and ethnographic research, such as in-depth interview, FG discussion, workshop, brainstorming sessions, and ethnographic observation, etc., including research design, guideline preparation, moderation, analysis and reporting;
Analyze and synthesis all the collected information to define insights to guide product innovation, or design / innovation strategy;
Build convincible story in report writing by logic thinking and supportive data / information.
2. Client service and vendor management
Represent company to interact with client during projects to maintain and develop closer business relationship;
Moderate the discussion with clients about project plan, deliverables for stages, any other meetings about the projects;
Present reports or design solutions to the clients;
Source and guide vendors when needed;
Build and maintain sound relationship with clients and vendors.
3. Project management
Plan schedule, resources, and budget for projects based on signed proposals;
Drive and manage the whole process to ensure projects finished within plan;
Coordinate all the resources, including vendors, clients, partners, and internal team members, to ensure projects go smoothly;
Report the project status periodically and assist the optimization of project management system.
